The summer was busy and eventful, bringing fatigue and change along for the ride. I had hoped to get some editing done on the second book, but after picking away at it during a few stolen moments, I had to set it aside. Unexpected things slipped under our door and we face a future that was a lot different than the one we’d been expecting.
The change brings good things, but it also brings some sadness with it. You see, I’ve accepted a different assignment for my job, so I must relinquish my role as writing club advisor. Adviser. Sorry, WordPress does not like that word spelled with an “o” but that’s how I learned it…
Anyway… I’ll be moving to a different school with different hours which means I’ll no longer be available for after school programs for the older kids. For a few moments I actually entertained the thought of having a writing group for the older elementary crowd (4th and 5th grade only) but I saw what a few of the 6th graders wrote so I’m pretty sure I’m not ready for the younger writers.
Not yet, anyway.

Sorry to hear the changes bring a bit of sadness. I know how much you enjoyed the writing club. Hopefully, you’ll be able to set another one up somewhere else….
